[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Choi Soon-kyung] Geochang-gun, Gyeongnam announced on the 30th that it held a graduation ceremony for 33 students of the ‘Future-type Apple Orchard Academy 2nd Class.’

The Future-type Apple Orchard Academy is a one-year specialized education program for farmers who wish to establish multi-axis apple orchards, conducted through lectures by experts in various fields and field practitioners.

A student who participated in the education said, “Over the course of 40 hours in one year, we received comprehensive training for establishing multi-axis apple orchards, including multi-axis training and soil understanding, cultivation management, and advanced site visits, which gave me confidence in introducing a new cultivation system.”

Gu In-mo, the county governor, said, “I congratulate all 33 graduates who diligently attended the lectures despite the COVID-19 situation,” and urged, “Please create future-type apple orchards with a sense of mission and passion, knowing that the success or failure of our Geochang-gun’s future apple industry rests on your shoulders.”
