A Health Center Garden Free from Fine Dust Worries! Filled with Air-Purifying Plants That Breathe
[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Choi Soon-kyung] Geochang-gun, Gyeongnam announced on the 30th that it installed a wall-mounted smart garden full of air-purifying plants by utilizing a small space in the first-floor civil service lounge for the health of patients visiting the public health center.
The smart garden creation project is a project promoted to expand the new area of gardens based on the demand for a pleasant living environment. It is a project to create a new type of indoor garden where users can feel healing, rest, and ornamental effects by utilizing limited indoor spaces where gardening is not possible.
The county prepared a resting space in the public health center civil service lounge where people can rest their tired minds from COVID-19 while enjoying the green indoors instead of outdoors.
The plants introduced in the smart garden currently in pilot operation include 19 species such as Jageumwoo, Abis, and Hoya, which are suitable for indoor growth and have excellent air purification abilities. An automatic watering device that supplies water automatically according to the plant growth status and growth lighting that helps plant growth were installed to enhance convenience in maintenance and management.
County Governor Gu In-mo said, “These days, when outdoor activities have decreased due to COVID-19 and fine dust, I hope a more pleasant working environment will be created through rest in the indoor garden,” and added, “I hope that visitors to the public health center can take a moment to rest their tired minds from COVID-19.”
