[Asia Economy Reporter Yoo Je-hoon] Halla Group announced on the 30th that it has carried out executive appointments centered on 'CEO-driven growth management,' including appointing President Cho Sung-hyun as CEO of Mando Corporation.
Through this personnel reshuffle, Halla Group stated that it will transition to a holding company and automotive and construction sector system, granting freedom and responsibility to affiliate CEOs to enable agile decision-making.
First, Choi Kyung-sun, Vice President of the Business Division at Halla Holdings Corporation, and Un Pal-ju, Vice President of HL Clemoove Corporation, were each promoted to President.
Additionally, President Cho was appointed as the head of the automotive sector, overseeing Mando's three BUs (Brake, Steering, Suspension), HL Clemoove, and Mando Brose, all in the manufacturing field. Furthermore, Hong Seok-hwa, President of Halla Holdings, was appointed as the General President overseeing both the holding and business divisions of Halla Holdings Corporation, and Lee Seok-min, President of Halla Corporation, was appointed as the head of the construction sector.
Halla Group plans to implement CEO-driven growth management centered on these sector heads as a focal point. At the same time, it will reorganize its manufacturing and construction business portfolios and accelerate inorganic growth such as startup investments in areas differentiated from existing sectors.
As part of this, Vice President Choi Sung-ho of Mando was selected as the Group CTO and leader of the Automotive Sector Mobility Solution Tech Group, and Vice President Park Do-soon, an expert in advanced brake system development, was appointed as the head of Mando Brake BU.
Chairman Chung Mong-won will focus on pioneering new businesses, investments, and talent discovery and development as Chairman of Halla Holdings and Group CHRO (Chief Human Resources Officer), dedicating himself to growth in new areas. Chairman Chung said, "True growth begins with curiosity in various fields and the courage to act on it," adding, "The freedom and responsibility of leaders and youthful passion will boldly transform Halla."
