Prosecutors Demand 15-Year Prison Sentence for Kim Young-jun in 'Male Sexual Exploitation Material Distribution' Case

Prosecutors Demand 15-Year Prison Sentence for Kim Young-jun in 'Male Sexual Exploitation Material Distribution' Case

[Asia Economy Reporter Bae Kyunghwan] The prosecution has requested a 15-year prison sentence for Kim Young-jun, who is accused of producing and selling sexually exploitative materials involving male children and adolescents.

On the 29th, the prosecution asked the Seoul Central District Court Criminal Division 29 (Presiding Judge Kim Chang-hyung) during Kim's first trial sentencing hearing to "sentence the defendant to 15 years in prison and impose a fine of approximately 14.8 million won."

Kim is accused of deceiving victims by pretending to be a woman through video calls from December 2011 to April of this year, producing sexually exploitative materials involving 79 male child and adolescent victims. He is also charged with selling 8 male child and adolescent sexually exploitative materials and 1,839 illegal adult recordings from August last year to April this year.

It was revealed that Kim lured men by uploading photos of women as profiles on dating apps and then deceived them through video calls using voice modulation software. At the time of arrest, it was found that Kim possessed approximately 1,570 child and adolescent sexually exploitative materials and about 5,470 illegal adult recordings on an external hard drive.

On this day, the prosecution pointed out, "The crime is of poor quality as it involves long-term offenses against multiple victims, including children and adolescents, destroying their dignity." The court scheduled Kim's sentencing hearing for the morning of January 14 next year.
