Suncheon City to Begin Pre-Field Distribution of Daily Recovery Support Fund from the 7th of Next Month

[Suncheon=Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Lee Hyung-kwon] Suncheon City, Jeollanam-do (Mayor Heo Seok) has finalized the schedule to provide 100,000 KRW per person as daily recovery support funds to all citizens and foreigners registered in Suncheon as of the 12th, aiming to stabilize citizens' lives and revive the local real economy.

On the 29th, Suncheon City announced that the support funds will be paid in the local currency, ‘Suncheon Sarang Gift Certificates,’ to revitalize the local economy, and the funds will be disbursed immediately on-site upon application.

The application period for the support funds is from the 7th to the 24th of next month. Pre-on-site applications can be made from the 7th to the 10th, and applications at the Eup, Myeon, and Dong administrative welfare centers are accepted from the 13th to the 24th.

‘Pre-on-site application’ is available at designated locations in seven Eup and Dong areas with populations over 10,000 (Haeryong, Seo, Samsan, Deokyeon, Dosa, Wangjo1, Wangjo2), and the designated locations can be confirmed at the administrative welfare center of the applicant’s address or on the Suncheon City Hall website.

‘Eup, Myeon, Dong application’ applies to all Eup, Myeon, and Dong areas, and applicants can apply by visiting the administrative welfare center of their registered address.

To prevent overcrowding, a five-day rotation system based on the last digit of the head of household’s birth year will be implemented during the first week of applications.

For example, on Monday, only those whose birth year ends in 1 or 6 can apply; Tuesday for 2 or 7; Wednesday for 3 or 8; Thursday for 4 or 9; and Friday for 5 or 0.

Applications must be submitted by the head of household or one household member with the application form and their ID.

However, cohabitants may apply if they are the head of household (or household member) themselves or have been delegated authority.

Additionally, if it is difficult for household members to visit in person, the spouse, direct ascendants or descendants, or siblings of the household member may apply on their behalf by bringing the application form, power of attorney, IDs of both the applicant and the proxy, and documents proving the relationship between the applicant and the proxy.
