[Asia Economy Reporter Jo In-kyung] On the morning of the 29th, a ceiling collapse accident occurred at a store in The Hyundai Seoul in Yeouido, Seoul.
According to Hyundai Department Store, a report was received that part of the ceiling collapsed in the lingerie store on the 3rd floor of The Hyundai Seoul, and fire personnel were dispatched around 11:14 a.m.
As a result of this accident, three employees working on site sustained minor injuries.
A Hyundai Department Store official explained, "The accident occurred as the gypsum board of the store ceiling detached and fell," adding, "An announcement was made, and there is no issue with safety."

The department store has currently suspended operations at the affected store and is conducting a safety inspection of the ceiling while investigating the cause of the accident.
The Hyundai Seoul opened on February 26 of this year and operates sales and dining facilities across two basement levels to six above-ground floors.
