[Muan＝Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Oh Hwanju] Muan-gun, Jeollanam-do, is actively operating its quarantine system to block the spread of local infections caused by recent COVID-19 confirmed cases and is making every effort to respond to the outbreak.

According to the county on the 29th, a temporary COVID-19 screening clinic was set up in the parking lot of Unnam Nonghyup in Unnam-myeon, where confirmed cases were concentrated, and since the 24th, about 1,400 people have completed testing. The temporary screening clinic was also operated over the past weekend to conduct rapid tests for early detection of hidden infections.

In addition, at three main points entering Unnam-myeon, fever checks and visitor logs are being strictly managed to thoroughly control visitor access, actively carrying out quarantine activities as a preemptive response to prevent the spread of COVID-19.

County Governor Kim San expressed gratitude to the residents for their active cooperation in quarantine and testing to block the local spread of COVID-19, saying, “To overcome the current crisis and return to daily life, the county will remain vigilant and do its best in quarantine management.”

Meanwhile, Muan-gun has canceled or postponed all events to prevent further spread of COVID-19 and is implementing various quarantine measures such as temporarily closing multi-use facilities including senior centers, sports facilities, and welfare centers.
