272 Teams from 190 High Schools Nationwide Participate

[Asia Economy Reporter Kim Jin-ho] Woori Bank announced on the 29th that Ahyeon Industrial Information High School won the championship in the finals of the 'Woori One Banking High School LoL League,' which selects the strongest amateur high school team in League of Legends (LoL).
The finals were held on the 27th at LoL Park in Jongno-gu, Seoul, with Woori Bank President Kwon Kwang-seok and about 200 spectators attending in person. For the first time in an amateur tournament, the match was broadcast live online through Naver and Twitch with commentary by the LCK broadcast team.
The 'Woori One Banking High School LoL League' is a competition where teams are formed by students from the same high school. Approximately 1,500 participants from 272 teams representing 190 high schools nationwide took part. Regional representatives were selected through online preliminaries starting from the 6th. After the quarterfinals and semifinals, Ahyeon Industrial Information High School and Ungsang High School were selected as the final teams for the championship match.
As a result of the finals, Ahyeon Industrial Information High School became the champion of the 'Woori One Banking High School LoL League.' Ahyeon Industrial Information High School received a prize of 13 million KRW and a school scholarship, while the runner-up, Ungsang High School, received a prize of 7 million KRW and a school scholarship.
Woori Bank President Kwon Kwang-seok said, “We organized this tournament to empathize with the gaming life of the MZ generation and to offer memories and hopes for the future as professional gamers. Going forward, Woori Bank will continue various activities to expand the base of esports.”
