[Asia Economy Reporter Hwang Sumi] Hong Joon-pyo, a member of the People Power Party, expressed confidence by saying, "No matter how much they investigate me, nothing will come out," in response to a question about the possibility of a political revenge investigation by presidential candidate Yoon Seok-yeol.

On the 28th, Hong answered this way to the question, "What will you do if candidate Yoon becomes president and targets you for a revenge investigation?" in the 'Cheongmun Hongdap' corner of the 'Dream of Youth' platform, which was created for active communication with netizens.

He added, "I have lived under investigation for 26 years," showing that he has nothing to fear.

Meanwhile, candidate Yoon has also stated that he will not engage in political revenge. On the 11th, after paying respects at the grave of former President Roh Moo-hyun in Bongha Village, Gimhae, Gyeongnam, Yoon responded to reporters' questions about whether he would carry out political revenge against the opposing camp after winning the election.

He said, "Political revenge is not politics but a conspiracy," and added, "I will not engage in such conspiracies."

In an interview with Kukmin Ilbo on the 16th, Yoon also responded to a question about political revenge by saying, "Revenge is done by targeting someone."

He drew a line by saying, "However, if someone's corruption is revealed and it goes through judicial procedures, it cannot be called political revenge," and "It should proceed according to the (judicial) system."
