According to the Speaker's office on the 28th, Park, who is visiting Spain to attend the IPU General Assembly, met with Khalid Al-Mawali, Speaker of the Oman House of Representatives, one of the world's top three urea exporting countries. At the meeting, Park said, "Korea temporarily experienced issues with urea supply. I hope for cooperation from Oman." In response, Speaker Khalid replied, "We will support the establishment of cooperative relationships between companies of the two countries by providing information about urea factories," affirming Park's proposal.

Earlier, on the 26th, Park also requested 'urea cooperation' during a meeting with Al-Fawziya bint Abdullah Zainal, Speaker of the Bahrain House of Representatives.
Meanwhile, after concluding talks with Speaker Khalid, Speaker Park delivered a speech at the IPU General Assembly plenary session held under the theme "The Timely Challenge of Democracy: Overcoming Division and Building Community."
