[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Kim Yong-woo] A classroom preparing for degree and certification acquisition through the online academic credit bank system will be held in Gyeongsan-si, Gyeongbuk.
Gyeongsan-si announced on the 27th that it will open an online certification classroom course starting December 1 to promote lifelong learning among its citizens.
The online certification classroom is a course that awards private certifications to citizens who complete the curriculum, following a business agreement signed on the 11th with Trisis, a remote lifelong education institution.
This classroom offers 61 types of private certifications, free courses such as humanities lectures and foreign languages, three national certifications (Level 2 Social Worker, Level 2 Childcare Teacher), beauty licenses, and professional associate degree acquisition courses at a 70% discount as paid learning content to Gyeongsan citizens.
Additionally, the education center plans to donate 5% of the tuition fees as scholarships to the Gyeongsan City Scholarship Foundation.
The beauty license provides the advantage of starting various beauty shops such as ‘Hair, Nail, Skin, Makeup’ by acquiring a comprehensive beauty license simultaneously with obtaining a professional associate degree through online classes.
Mayor Choi Young-jo said, “Lifelong learning is changing due to COVID-19,” and added, “I hope citizens continue lifelong learning through online education for reemployment, self-development, and academic credit bank degree acquisition.”
Gyeongsan-si plans to ensure that citizens receive benefits from various lifelong learning programs such as online education, smart maker education, and one-day class education.
