[Asia Economy Reporter Lim Cheol-young] The Seoul 50 Plus Foundation will hold a performance sharing meeting on the 29th to announce the achievements of the ‘50+ Digital Generation Connection Group,’ which has been leading efforts to bridge the digital divide among the elderly, and to share outstanding cases.
For four months, 100 members of the 50+ generation served as the ‘Digital Generation Connection Group,’ conducting digital competency enhancement education tailored to the elderly’s perspective at 67 activity sites.
The Digital Generation Connection Group performance sharing meeting will be held at the DDP (Dongdaemun Design Plaza) Seoul-ON Studio and streamed live on YouTube for about 300 participants, partner organizations, and related personnel.
Ko Seon-ju, head of the Seoul 50 Plus Foundation, said, “The activities of the 50+ generation’s Digital Generation Connection Group provided customized and intimate education by understanding the emotions of the elderly, who are the parents’ generation, resulting in high satisfaction for both participants and educators. We will continue to strive next year to support the digital competency enhancement of vulnerable groups in various fields, serving as a link connecting generations and lives.”
