[Asia Economy Reporter Lee Jung-yoon] A man in his 70s who stabbed a man he knew with a weapon and fled at a traditional market in Gangbuk-gu, Seoul, was arrested by the police.
According to the police on the 26th, the Gangbuk Police Station in Seoul has arrested and is investigating a man in his 70s, Mr. A, on suspicion of murder.
Mr. A is accused of stabbing the victim, who was smoking together on the road of a traditional market in Gangbuk-gu at around 6:10 p.m. the previous day, causing the victim's death. It is known that Mr. A took out a weapon hidden inside his clothes and committed the crime before fleeing.
Although paramedics performed cardiopulmonary resuscitation while transporting the victim to the hospital, the victim was reported dead. Mr. A was urgently arrested within 10 minutes nearby by the responding police officers.
The police plan to apply for an arrest warrant after investigating the circumstances of the incident with Mr. A.
