Maston Investment Management Discusses Investment Strategy with French Public Fund 'La Fran?aise'

[Asia Economy Reporter Minji Lee] Maston Investment Management announced on the 26th that it held a discussion on global real estate investment strategies with La Fran?aise, the leading real estate specialist asset manager in the French public fund sector.

The executives of both companies, who met in the main conference room at Maston Investment Management headquarters, agreed to further develop their mutual cooperation across a wide range of fields. La Fran?aise is an asset manager with investment management organizations and a global network in France, the United Kingdom, Germany, Luxembourg, and other countries.

Attending from Maston Investment Management were CEO Daehyung Kim, Vice President of the REITs division Yongmin Jo, Head of Strategic Planning Sunwoo Kim, Director of the Overseas Division Youngwan Do, and Head of Future Strategy Kihyun Kim. From La Fran?aise, Philippe Lecomte, CEO of La Fran?aise Group, David Rendall, CEO of Real Estate Management, and Inhee Yang, CEO of La Fran?aise Group Korea, were present.

Maston Investment Management and La Fran?aise have maintained a close collaborative relationship. In 2019, La Fran?aise made an equity investment during the acquisition of Crystal Park Office in France, and in the first half of this year, they successfully closed a French logistics center portfolio (six last-mile logistics centers), considered one of the largest global physical deals, through cooperation between the two companies.

Maston Investment Management plans to elevate its cooperation with La Fran?aise to the next level through the Premier REITs listing next year. Through collaboration with La Fran?aise, they aim to expand real estate investments in Western Europe, including France and the UK. Additionally, both companies exchanged constructive opinions on mid- to long-term plans for European capital’s entry into Asian investments and comprehensive business cooperation in Asia.

Meanwhile, Maston Investment Management ranked 8th globally and 1st domestically in commercial real estate investment volume in the Asia-Pacific region according to Real Capital Analytics (RCA)’s “Asia Pacific Capital Trends 2020,” and as of November this year, its cumulative assets under management (AUM) approach 26 trillion KRW.
