[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Lee Sang-hyun] Changwon City, Gyeongnam Province announced on the 25th that it will carry out the '2022 Apartment Management Support Project' to create a pleasant and safe residential environment for residents living in apartment complexes.

The total project budget is 1.3 billion KRW. The target includes apartment complexes built within the jurisdiction under the 'Housing Act' and the 'Urban and Residential Environment Improvement Act,' as well as small-scale apartment complexes that have passed 10 years since the date of use approval under the 'Building Act.'

Changwon City supports part of the costs for community revitalization projects and maintenance and repair of aging common facilities that are past the defect liability period.

The main support areas include improvement of aging facilities such as road paving within the complex, exterior wall painting and waterproofing, replacement of water supply pipes, community revitalization projects such as resident communication and harmony activities, eco-friendly practice and experience activities, hobby and health activities, and safety inspections of small-scale apartment complexes.

The application period is from December 1 to 31, and applications can be submitted by visiting or mailing to the Building Permit Division of each district office.

In February next year, the Apartment Management Support Deliberation Committee will select the final complexes after reviewing the aging level of the apartment complexes, risk of disasters, and project feasibility. Project funds will be provided proportionally to the size of the complex, ranging from a minimum of 20 million KRW to a maximum of 40 million KRW.

For detailed information such as support criteria and required documents, please check the city hall website's notices and announcements or contact the Building Permit Division of each district office or the Housing Policy Division of the city hall.

Choi Jae-an, head of the Housing Policy Division, said, "We will do our best to promote the management support project to create a pleasant and livable residential environment in apartment complexes."
