[Asia Economy Reporter Song Seung-yoon] A conservative group suddenly set up a memorial altar to commemorate former President Jeon Du-hwan near Bosingak in Jongno-gu, Seoul.
According to Jongno-gu Office on the 24th, the conservative group Taegeukgi Revolution National Movement Headquarters (Gukbon) installed three tents in front of Bosingak in Jongno-gu, Seoul and set up a memorial altar to honor former President Jeon Du-hwan.
They initially informed Jongno-gu Office of their intention to set up the altar at a different location, but it is reported that they took advantage of late-night hours to suddenly install the altar here.
Jongno-gu Office notified Gukbon that the altar is an illegal facility and is currently on-site carrying out the removal of the tents.
