TIPA Collaborates with KIST and Others for Carbon Neutral Technology Innovation

[Asia Economy Reporter Kim Jong-hwa] The Korea Technology and Information Promotion Agency for SMEs (TIPA) has embarked on establishing a cooperative system for joint industry-academia-research R&D support and information exchange with representative organizations of corporate research institutes, government-funded research institutes, and major government R&D specialized agencies to achieve the common goal of carbon neutrality.

On the 23rd, TIPA participated in the Public-Private R&D Innovation Forum held at COEX in Seoul and announced that it signed a 'Technology Innovation Cooperation MOU for Carbon Emission Reduction' with the Korea Industrial Technology Association, National Research Council of Science & Technology, National Research Foundation of Korea, and Korea Institute for Advancement of Technology.

Through this agreement, TIPA plans to actively cooperate in various R&D support necessary for reducing carbon emissions of SMEs engaged in high-carbon industries by reflecting the demands and opinions of companies.

Lee Hun-hee, Director of TIPA, stated, "Through this inter-ministerial collaboration, we expect to promote mutual exchange of knowledge, information, and know-how necessary for developing carbon emission reduction technologies in high-carbon industries, and further expand human and material network cooperation."
