Sancheong-gun and Forest Cooperative Hold One-Day Experience Event to Create Healthy Forests

[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Choi Soon-kyung] Sancheong-gun, Gyeongnam announced on the 23rd that it carried out vine removal work in the cypress tree plantation area within the region to mark the forest tending period.

Sancheong-gun and the Sancheong-gun Forestry Cooperative hold a 'One-day Forest Tending Experience Event' annually in the Chatan-ri area of Sancheong-eup to enhance the public functions of the forest and create scenic landscapes. About 20 people, including members from the Sancheong-gun Forest Greenery Division and the Sancheong-gun Forestry Cooperative, participated in the event.

After receiving education on the standard work methods for vine removal, participants carried out vine removal on-site. Afterwards, they discussed the direction for promoting the vine removal project, precautions, and suggestions.

A county official said, "We hope this event serves as an opportunity to realize the importance and necessity of forest tending," adding, "We will continue to promote forest tending projects to create ecologically and environmentally healthy forests."
