[Asia Economy Reporter Kang Juhee] Hong Joon-pyo, a member of the People Power Party, has been expressing his political views daily through the online platform 'Cheongnyeon-ui Kkum (Youth's Dream)' that he created after being eliminated from the presidential primary race.
On the 23rd, through a post on the 'Cheongmun Hongdap (Youth asks, Hong Joon-pyo answers)' section of Cheongnyeon-ui Kkum, Hong gave his personal evaluations of Lee Jae-myung, the Democratic Party presidential candidate, and Yoo Si-min, former chairman of the Roh Moo-hyun Foundation, among other progressive figures.
On the previous day (22nd), a question was posted on the Cheongmun Hongdap board asking, "Who do you dislike the most? 1. President Moon Jae-in, 2. Lee Jae-myung, Democratic Party presidential candidate, 3. Yoon Seok-youl, People Power Party presidential candidate, 4. All of them." Hong responded with "Lee Jae-myung."
When asked, "Among left-wing politicians, who do you acknowledge the most?" Hong replied, "Former Chairman Yoo Si-min," and evaluated Yoo as "someone who communicates well" and "someone I have good chemistry with."
When asked why he did not respond to Yoon Seok-youl's request to meet, Hong answered, "I have nothing to say."
Meanwhile, Cheongnyeon-ui Kkum is an online platform created by Hong after his elimination from the People Power Party presidential primary to communicate with young people in their 20s and 30s. Hong actively interacts with netizens by replying directly under the nickname 'Junpyo-hyung' whenever questions are posted on the Cheongmun Hongdap board.
