'K-Culture' in Busan... Busan City Plans Themed Tourism for Movie and Drama Filming Locations

'K-Culture' in Busan... Busan City Plans Themed Tourism for Movie and Drama Filming Locations Drive course busking video image.

[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters, Trainee Reporter Hwang Du-yeol] Busan City is conducting online marketing centered on Hallyu culture.

Busan City, in collaboration with the Busan Tourism Organization, is creating tourism courses themed around filming locations of movies, variety shows, and dramas shot in Busan, in line with the phased recovery of daily life, and is conducting online marketing targeting overseas markets.

The newly created themed tourism courses include ▲Drive Course (Move, Mile in Movie) ▲History Course (Our History) ▲Gourmet Tour (Visit Taste) ▲Barrier-Free (Impossible? I’m possible) ▲Hidden Travel Spots (Exciting Hidden Spot), providing introductions to filming locations as well as nearby tourist information.

They cover Busan K-Culture filming locations featured in popular ongoing dramas such as "Now, We Are Breaking Up," the Netflix-released movie "Space Sweepers," and "The King: Eternal Monarch."

The Drive Course and Hidden Travel Spots course were produced as busking music video clips suitable for autumn, featuring YouTubers "Haerian & Yoon So-an," famous for K-POP cover songs.

The videos will be simultaneously released on the Busan tourism portal "Visit Busan" YouTube channel and influencer channels on the 23rd.

The city will hold a promotional event on "Visit Busan" from November 23 to December 5, offering various prizes through a lottery.

Jo Yoo-jang, Director of the Tourism MICE Industry Bureau of Busan City, said, "We will create Busan content to promote Busan and attract tourists by planning travel products featuring Busan’s famous spots where globally popular K-Culture is created."

Last October, Busan City planned and operated a tourism program featuring filming locations of the Busan web drama "Midnight Cafe Season 1~3," set against the backdrop of Sanbok-ro, which received positive responses from tourists.
