[Gangjin＝Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Kim Yong-su] Gangjin-gun, Jeollanam-do, won the grand prize at the ‘2021 Spatial Information and Road Name Address Workshop Research Project Presentation’ hosted by Jeollanam-do.
According to the county on the 23rd, the workshop is held annually by Jeollanam-do to improve the professional expertise of public officials in charge through research project presentations on the utilization of spatial information and activation plans for road name addresses, and to proactively respond to future changes by discovering institutional improvements and innovative ideas.
This workshop was conducted non-face-to-face due to COVID-19, with participation from 18 cities and counties in Jeollanam-do.
Gangjin-gun received high scores in policy feasibility and creativity by presenting measures to reflect the latest status of buildings and building groups on the basic road name address map using building status surveys and survey files within the cadastral re-survey project area, under the theme of promoting the advancement of the basic road name address map.
Kim Dong-nam, Head of the Civil Service Department, said, “I believe this award is the result of efforts made for the convenience of the residents,” and added, “We will continue to strive to provide high-quality spatial information services.”
