'AI Call Recording' Smarter SKT T Phone... "Check Recorded Voice Files via Text"

[Asia Economy Reporter Joselgina Cho] From now on, SK Telecom’s T Phone will allow users to easily check recorded voice content as text during calls.

On the 23rd, SK Telecom announced that it has added the ‘AI Call Recording’ service to its integrated communication platform T Phone and will start beta service from that day.

AI Call Recording is a service that converts recorded voice files during calls into text and provides them to users. SK Telecom designed the AI Call Recording screen in a chat window format so that users can easily distinguish between their own and the other party’s conversations at a glance and quickly grasp the entire call content. Additionally, a search function was implemented to allow users to easily find desired calls.

SK Telecom also equipped AI Call Recording with an ▲automatic keyword extraction feature that allows easy copying of phone numbers, schedules, account numbers, etc., mentioned during calls, and a ▲call representative keyword feature that sets AI-recommended keywords for call content to manage call lists more easily.

It is especially meaningful in that it enhances usability by automatically converting voice calls into text data. The company expects it to play a significant role in improving productivity across various fields such as business tasks or meetings via phone calls, job interviews, real estate contracts, and customer center consultations.

This service can be used immediately without a separate approval process by applying to participate in the beta service through the T Phone application starting from that day. During the beta service period, all calls can be converted to text and checked free of charge, and text conversion of call recordings applies only to calls generated after participating in the beta service. Beta service participation may close early depending on user application status.

SK Telecom plans to enhance the provided features and add useful functions based on data obtained through this beta service and release an official version.

Hyun-A Lee, head of SK Telecom AI&CO, said, “Through AI Call Recording, T Phone has evolved into a smarter integrated communication platform,” and added, “We will continue efforts to develop and enhance the service to provide users with a differentiated call experience.”
