[Asia Economy Reporter Jo In-kyung] Emart24 announced on the 23rd that starting from the 24th, it will launch the 'e-Pickup Service' in partnership with Yogiyo, which reduces both the shopping time in stores and delivery fees.
Customers order and pay for products through the Yogiyo app and pick them up at a designated time. Since the ordered products are prepared in advance at the store and customers pick them up themselves, there are no delivery fees, and purchasing alcoholic beverages such as wine is also possible.
Emart24 plans to gradually expand the pickup service starting with about 400 stores in Seoul and the metropolitan area.
Additionally, while continuously expanding delivery services through various platforms such as Yogiyo, KakaoTalk Gift, and Naver Order, Emart24 aims to attract the MZ generation (Millennial and Generation Z), who are accustomed to non-face-to-face services and seek detailed convenience, by introducing this e-Pickup service.
Emart24's delivery service, which began to expand in earnest from March this year, has also received great response, with sales in the recent three months increasing more than threefold compared to the first three months after launch (April to June).
An Emart24 official said, "We introduced this e-Pickup service with the belief that providing meticulous convenience makes a big difference," adding, "We will continue to consider and implement ways to enhance customer convenience and help increase franchise store sales."
Meanwhile, to commemorate the launch of the e-Pickup service, Emart24 is offering a 5,000 won discount for payments over 13,000 won using the e-Pickup service until the 30th, and an additional 1,000 won discount when using Yogipass.
