[Asia Economy Reporter Lim Chun-han] Shinsegae Department Store Gangnam Branch announced on the 23rd that it will present 'Bonjour de France,' showcasing French desserts and ingredients, from the 26th of this month to the 2nd of next month.
This pop-up store will be held at the central event hall of the food court on the B1 floor of the Gangnam Branch. Visitors can experience a total of 12 brands including Seoul Kkantin, Yamate, Maison MO, and more. The event will feature French desserts by top domestic patissiers as well as products from global French brands.
‘Seoul Kkantin,’ a French home-style food vendor, is holding the event for the first time in the distribution industry. It is a brand that gained popularity solely through online sales, offering convenient meals made in the local style by a French chef. ‘Yamate’ is a crepe specialty store run by a chef couple from Brittany, France. They developed a unique manufacturing method using Korean buckwheat, and plan to showcase various products such as butter, caramel, and chocolate during the event.
Kim Seon-jin, head of Shinsegae Department Store Gangnam Branch, said, “We have gathered a feast of gourmet experiences where customers can enjoy a variety of authentic French tastes in one place,” adding, “We will continue to strive to present differentiated content that leads customer lifestyles.”
