On the 17th, the first issue of the cooperation-specialized newsletter 'Dongjak Eoulsori' was published in webzine and booklet formats... Includes stories on detailed Dongjak cooperation projects to be implemented from next year and agenda execution projects heard through residents' voices
[Asia Economy Reporter Jongil Park] Dongjak-gu (Mayor Changwoo Lee) has published the inaugural issue of the specialized governance newsletter "Dongjak Eoulsori" to help understand the 'Dongjak Governance' project and to build a consensus among residents on the community innovation plan.
Governance is a third type of social problem-solving method where members of society collectively pool wisdom and will to decide and implement policies, addressing various local issues that are difficult to solve solely through existing government policies and market principles.
Dongjak Governance began in 2017 with the formation of a public-private T/F team to promote governance, followed by institutional arrangements in 2018 such as ▲enactment of ordinances ▲formation of a dedicated team ▲launch of a council. Around July this year, a 'Community Innovation Plan' containing a future vision was established, and based on this, the full-scale implementation of six detailed projects is scheduled to begin next year.
The six detailed projects include ▲welfare care for vulnerable elderly groups ▲operation of village-type shared offices ▲creation of an online lifelong learning ecosystem ▲Noldam Doldam Village School ▲climate change response to overcome the climate crisis ▲traditional market revitalization project.
The district plans to use "Dongjak Eoulsori" to introduce the progress and major detailed projects of Dongjak Governance, creating a space for communication with residents.
This inaugural issue contains ▲Invitation to Governance ▲Dongjak is in Governance ▲2021 Dongjak Governance Stories ▲Visiting Governance Implementation Projects ▲Together in Governance, totaling 12 pages, produced and distributed in both webzine and booklet formats.
In particular, the sections ▲Visiting Governance Implementation Projects and ▲Together in Governance were planned, reported, and written by residents participating in the Dongjak Governance project, allowing readers to hear their sincere thoughts on governance.
"Dongjak Eoulsori" can be found on ▲Dongjak-gu Office website (webzine) ▲district office ▲community centers, and from next year, it will be produced semiannually.
Kim Hyunho, Director of Planning and Coordination, said, "Governance is a project realized through residents' participation, and we hope many people will join through the launch of 'Dongjak Eoulsori.' We will do our best to successfully promote the detailed projects."
