[Asia Economy Reporter Eunmo Koo] A photo presumed to be the official rendering of the budget smartphone ‘Galaxy A13,’ expected to be released by Samsung Electronics early next year, has surfaced.
On the 19th (local time), Indian IT media GizNext revealed a photo believed to be the official image of the A13.
According to the released image, the back of the A13 appears to feature a single-color panel. The upper left corner of the rear shows three camera sensors arranged vertically, similar to the ‘Galaxy S21,’ and the front display is characterized by a waterdrop-shaped notch at the top camera area.
Additionally, while the top and sides have thin bezels, the bottom chin is designed to be relatively thicker. The left side houses the SIM card tray, and the right side contains the power and volume buttons. The color options are expected to include black, blue, orange, and white.
The application processor (AP) is expected to be the MediaTek Dimensity 700 chipset to keep costs low. RAM options are reported to be 4GB and 6GB, with storage capacities of 64GB and 128GB, and it is anticipated to be released in both LTE and 5G models.
The screen will feature a 6.48-inch LCD display with FHD+ resolution and a 20:9 aspect ratio. The triple camera setup is expected to include a 50-megapixel main camera, a 5-megapixel ultra-wide camera, and a 2-megapixel depth sensor, along with an 8-megapixel front selfie camera.
The battery will be a large-capacity 5000mAh unit, similar to its predecessor, and is expected to support 25W fast charging. Additionally, a USB-C port and a 3.5mm headphone jack are likely to be included.
The predecessor, ‘Galaxy A12,’ released in February, is the most affordable budget LTE phone in Samsung Electronics’ mid-range ‘Galaxy A’ series. The A12 features a 6.5-inch large Infinity-V display and is equipped with the MediaTek Helio P35 processor as its AP.
