Special Sales Event Held from the 19th to the 24th of This Month
The Yeongju City Agricultural and Specialty Products Special Sale Exhibition will be held at Hyundai Department Store Mokdong Branch from the 19th to the 24th.
[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Lee Seryeong] Yeongju City, Gyeongbuk, will hold a special sales exhibition at U-PLEX in Hyundai Department Store Mokdong Branch, Seoul, from the 19th to the 24th.
The event was planned to support farmers struggling with poor sales due to COVID-19 and to promote the excellence of Yeongju's agricultural and specialty products to consumers in the metropolitan area.
A total of 10 selected companies will exhibit products directly produced and processed by local farmers using excellent crops such as Yeongju apples, Punggi ginseng, Korean beef, balloon flower root, tea, soybean paste, honey, and bugak (fried seaweed snacks).
Agricultural groups related to these items participated at the venue to provide visitors with detailed explanations about the benefits and consumption methods of the products.
At the same time, the city promoted its online shopping mall ‘Yeongju Jangnal’ and the upcoming ‘2022 Yeongju World Punggi Ginseng Expo’ scheduled for the following year.
Customers who purchase products worth more than 50,000 won during the event will receive a shopping bag shaped like a Yeongju apple and a package of excellent Yeongju agricultural products as gifts.
In addition, the city has prepared various distribution support policies and promotional events to stimulate consumption and secure distribution channels for local agricultural specialty products.
The online shopping mall ‘Yeongju Jangnal’ regularly holds discount and giveaway events throughout the year, serving as a bridge connecting consumers from other regions with Yeongju’s agricultural specialty products.
Mayor Jang Wook-hyun said, “I hope that introducing our city’s excellent agricultural and specialty products to consumers in large cities will lead to consumption that benefits local farmers,” adding, “This will be an opportunity to widely promote the excellence of local products and the expo to be held next year.”
