Myeongji Hospital MJ Virtual Care Center Signs Business Agreement
Video Call and Smartphone App Consultations for Expatriates, Families, and Business Travelers

[Asia Economy Reporter Kim Heung-soon] LG Display announced on the 18th that it has signed a 'Remote Consultation and Medical Support Business Agreement' with Myongji Hospital MJ Virtual Care Center to ensure the safe health management of employees and their families working overseas.

Through this agreement, approximately 3,000 LG Display expatriates, their families, and business travelers working at major overseas subsidiaries in Vietnam, China, the United States, Germany, and Japan will be able to receive remote medical support services provided by domestic medical staff via video calls and smartphone applications.

Myongji Hospital MJ Virtual Care Center is the first comprehensive remote health and disease management center established by a domestic medical institution. It provides remote medical consultation services related to general, emergency, and severe diseases.

LG Display will utilize the remote medical support service to offer medical consultations on test results and prescriptions received at local hospitals, as well as support linked medical treatment after returning to Korea.

LG Display explained that overseas employees and their families have postponed medical treatment or felt anxious even after treatment due to language barriers and concerns about the local medical environment. They also faced difficulties using local hospitals for treating minor symptoms amid the spread of COVID-19.

Shin Sang-moon, Vice President and Chief Safety and Environmental Officer (CSEO) of LG Display, emphasized, "Protecting the lives and health of our employees is of utmost importance," adding, "We will actively support all members at home and abroad to work healthily and with peace of mind."

Meanwhile, LG Display also provides customized comprehensive health checkups, vaccinations, and other medical services through its in-house clinic and health management office to prevent diseases and manage the health of employees working domestically as well as those overseas.
