[Asia Economy Reporter Changhwan Lee] Hankook Tire & Technology (hereinafter Hankook Tire) announced on the 16th that it has completed the pilot test of the 'Track Solutions' product, which enables artificial intelligence (AI) coaching through tire data analysis.
Track Solutions is a product that Hankook Tire is accelerating development on, aiming for release next year, for those who enjoy circuit driving.
When driving on a circuit, it utilizes a smartphone app and tire sensor technology to analyze tire information such as real-time air pressure and temperature, as well as driving lap times and tendencies like understeer and oversteer. According to Hankook Tire, AI coaching requests based on driving data are also possible.
The pilot test was conducted on three racers?Jongmin Park, Jaegyun Kim, and Jasmin Choi?during rounds 7 and 8 of the '2021 Hyundai N Festival' held on the 13th and 14th.
They gave positive feedback, saying that "beyond simply delivering existing tire data information, it helps achieve the best driving by providing optimized air pressure based on circuit driving analysis using AI," Hankook Tire explained.
