[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Choi Soon-kyung] Sancheong-gun, Gyeongnam, the hometown of Jirisan and Gyeonghogang, announced on the 15th that it is recruiting participants to experience the ‘Sancheong-style One-Month Living’ in harmony with nature.
The county is recruiting the fourth participants of this year for the Gyeongnam-style one-month living project, a long-term stay travel project called ‘Sancheong-e Sal-eoriratta,’ until the 30th.
Sancheong-e Sal-eoriratta is a project for modern people who want to escape the busy daily life of the city to stay long-term in Sancheong, the hometown of Cheonwangbong Peak in Jirisan, experiencing the charm of clean nature and ordinary daily life.
It received great response when first implemented in 2020, and has attracted much interest with high competition rates in the recruitment of participants for the 1st, 2nd, and 3rd rounds this year.
Participants are supported with accommodation fees and various cultural arts, historical site, and farming and rural experience fees in Sancheong-gun, as well as entrance fees to tourist attractions, for a period ranging from a minimum of 2 nights and 3 days to a maximum of 29 nights and 30 days.
Anyone aged 19 or older residing outside Gyeongnam can apply, and preference will be given to young people, YouTubers, bloggers, and others who are active on personal SNS. Detailed information such as application methods can be found on the Sancheong-gun official website.
Sancheong has long been known as a hometown of oriental medicine, developed based on over 1,000 species of medicinal herbs native to Jirisan.
Sancheong-gun connects anti-aging resources and local tourist attractions such as Donguibogam Village, Namsa Yedam Village, and Hwangmaesan Mountain into the Sancheong Tourism Belt, enabling various healing experiences throughout the region.
Also, the Daewonsa Valley Trail, where one can feel the four seasons of Jirisan, and the recently completed Jungsan Duryu Ecological Exploration Trail allow visitors to fully enjoy the healing energy given by Cheonwangbong Peak and nature.
A county official said, “Our Sancheong-gun will actively promote the wellness tourism industry themed on health and healing in the With-Corona era,” and added, “We hope that through this Sancheong-e Sal-eoriratta, people can take the opportunity to heal their body and mind by escaping from their busy daily lives.”
