[Asia Economy Reporter Moon Hyewon] Hyundai Green Food announced on the 15th that it will open the third branch of the United States' No. 1 steakhouse, 'Texas Roadhouse,' in Gimpo, Gyeonggi Province. This is the third store following Namyangju, Gyeonggi Province, and Songdo International City, Incheon.
Texas Roadhouse is the No. 1 steakhouse in the United States by sales. After opening its first store in Indiana, USA, in 1993, it currently operates over 600 stores in 10 countries including the United States, Mexico, and Taiwan. Unlike other steakhouses, customers can visually select the steak cut and portion themselves. To facilitate this, a professional meat cutter is stationed in the store, and a 'Meat Room' displaying the meat is operated.
The Texas Roadhouse Gimpo branch is the largest domestic store, with an area of 555㎡ (approximately 169 pyeong). It is located on the first floor of the East Building of Hyundai Premium Outlet Gimpo.
It offers 75 types of menu items including steak, chicken, ribs, burgers, and salads, and provides unlimited free Texas rolls, freshly baked daily on-site from dough made in the store, along with fresh peanuts.
The exotic interior and unique store operation method also attract attention. To capture the local Texas atmosphere, cactus neon signs and desert-themed visuals were created, and Texas country music is played in the store. Employees perform line dances every hour to provide various events that bring joy to customers visiting the store.
