Seocho-gu, Geumcheon-gu, and Seongbuk-gu Hold '2022 College Entrance and Regular Admission Strategy Briefing'


[Asia Economy Reporter Park Jong-il] Seocho-gu will hold ‘THE PRIME 2022 College Entrance Regular Admission Strategy Briefing Session’ on the 20th at 11 a.m. at the Seocho Culture and Arts Center in Yangjae-dong, targeting high school seniors and their parents.


The briefing session will be simultaneously broadcast live on the ‘Seocho Run TV’ YouTube channel along with 400 on-site attendees.


On the day of the briefing, top domestic entrance exam education experts will analyze the preliminary scoring results of the college entrance exam (CSAT) held on the 18th and provide regular admission strategies by score range for about two hours.


First, Lim Seong-ho, CEO of Jongro Academy, will explain ▲ predictions of university-specific passing scores in the first year of the integrated CSAT ▲ regular admission strategies between subjects based on the preliminary scoring results. Then, Kim Myung-chan, director of the Academic Evaluation Research Institute, will introduce ▲ comprehensive strategies for the 2022 regular admission ▲ strategies for early admission essay and interview.


Students and parents who wish to attend on-site can apply on a first-come, first-served basis through the Seocho-gu Education Support Center website. On-site attendees will receive a free briefing session booklet and a reference table for placement based on preliminary CSAT scores (including humanities, natural sciences, and medical/dental/pharmacy fields).


Additionally, for those watching the live broadcast on YouTube, real-time two-way Q&A between the instructors and participants will be conducted during the broadcast, and the booklet will also be uploaded.


Furthermore, from 2 p.m. on the day of the briefing, ‘One-on-One College Entrance Consulting in Our Neighborhood’ will be held at six community service centers. The district will provide free 30-minute consultations by a total of 45 entrance exam specialist consultants from Jongro Academy for 360 students and parents who have made prior reservations within the district. Applications can be made on the Seocho-gu Education Support Center website until the 18th.


From the 23rd of this month to the 29th of next month, the district plans to conduct customized one-on-one consulting for 600 students in the district at four education support centers by region (Bangbae, Seocho, Banpo Jamwon, Yangjae Naegok).

Geumcheon-gu (Mayor Yoo Seong-hoon) will hold an ‘Online College Entrance Briefing Session to Support the Establishment of 2022 Regular Admission Strategies’ through the Geumcheon Career and Academic Support Center YouTube channel at 7 p.m. on the 23rd.


In this briefing session, two experts?one with 26 years of experience in entrance exam data analysis and another with extensive experience in entrance exam counseling?will explore ‘Various Variables of the 2022 Regular Admission’ tailored to the students’ perspective and present solutions for ‘Regular Admission Success Strategies Based on 2022 Academic Big Data.’


The first part will cover ▲ analysis of major changes in the 2022 regular admission system ▲ variables affecting the regular admission passing score through case studies ▲ the impact of changes in recruitment scale, passing scores, and competition rates on passing scores. The second part will include ▲ university application strategies by level (top-tier, upper-middle, middle) through case studies ▲ regional university application strategies (local areas, Gyeonggi/Incheon areas) through case studies ▲ practical A to Z of regular admission application strategies.


Anyone in the community can attend the lecture via the Geumcheon Career and Academic Support Center YouTube channel at 7 p.m. on the day. Also, by visiting the Geumcheon Career and Academic Support Center website and registering as a member by the 22nd, participants can receive the ‘2022 Regular Admission Placement Data Booklet.’

Seongbuk-gu (Mayor Lee Seung-ro), in cooperation with the Seoul Metropolitan Office of Education Research and Information Center, will hold the ‘2022 Regular Admission Strategy College Entrance Briefing Session’ and ‘2022 Regular Admission Strategy Counseling Room’ to prepare for regular admission after the 2022 CSAT.


The online regular admission strategy briefing session will be held at 6:30 p.m. on the 30th, led by instructor Yoon Hee-tae (teacher at Yeongdong Il High School, University Admission Guidance Support Group). The two-hour session will cover the 2022 regular admission guidelines and CSAT analysis, analysis of last year’s college entrance results, assessment of universities within reach, and provision of regular admission strategies.


Residents who wish to attend the lecture can pre-register through the ‘Online Lecture Application’ on the Seongbuk-gu Office website and watch the live streaming lecture on the Seongbuk Youth Future Support Center YouTube channel.


Additionally, Seongbuk-gu will operate a face-to-face one-on-one regular admission strategy counseling room at the Seongbuk Youth Future Support Center on December 20, 21, and 22. Registration will be accepted on a first-come, first-served basis from 10 a.m. on the 29th via the Seongbuk-gu Office website. Counseling teachers, composed of various levels by school type, academic field, and region, will provide detailed consultations to help establish customized regular admission strategies.


A representative of the Seongbuk Youth Future Support Center said, “We aim to provide correct entrance exam information and successful regular admission strategies even after the CSAT to parents and students in the region, assisting with personalized regular admission support,” and encouraged many interested parents and students to participate.
