[Asia Economy Reporter Jang Hyowon] Ubivelox announced its best-ever performance with cumulative sales of 223.8 billion KRW, consolidated operating profit of 16.7 billion KRW, and consolidated net profit of 13.1 billion KRW for the third quarter. Ubivelox achieved record-high performance last year and is showing results that surpass that performance in just the first three quarters of this year.
A Ubivelox official stated, “New orders through the card supply contract with the internet-only bank Toss Bank continue to increase, and the performance of each affiliate is growing steadily, so we expect continuous sales and profit growth going forward.” He added, “In particular, as the smart card industry is expected to enter its peak season next year, our company will be able to demonstrate strong performance growth through Toss Bank’s active customer acquisition, enhance our market position as the developer of the domestic IC chip standard (KLSC), and make a leap as a platform company through the comprehensive MyData financial platform ‘Acha.’”
Ubivelox has signed a card supply contract with the internet-only bank Toss Bank and plans to resume the ‘Acha’ service after receiving full MyData approval from the Financial Services Commission’s regular meeting. Ubivelox’s fixed expenditure management concept financial information platform ‘Acha’ aims to provide integrated expenditure management services through MyData to household economic agents, enhancing financial stability and offering information to help them grow into healthy financial consumers.
A Ubivelox official said, “We will enter the MyData business, which is called the future growth engine, and seek qualitative and quantitative co-growth together with our core smart card business.”
