POSCO Chemical Acquires 15% Stake in Chinese Synthetic Graphite Anode Material Producer for Secondary Batteries

[Asia Economy Reporter Gong Byung-sun] POSCO Chemical announced on the 10th that it has decided to acquire a 15% stake in Inner Mongolia Xinuoxin Material Technology Co., Ltd., a Chinese artificial graphite anode material manufacturer for secondary batteries, for 26.1 billion KRW.

This decision aims to establish a production base to respond to the increasing demand for artificial graphite anode materials and to secure exclusive sales rights to domestic battery companies. The acquisition amount is approximately 2.55% of its equity capital.
