The film "Gangneung" (directed by Yoon Youngbin), starring Yoo Oh-sung and Jang Hyuk, ranked first in reservation rates among Korean movies on the Korea Film Council's integrated computer network as of 7 AM that day.
"Gangneung" is a crime action movie depicting the ambitions, conspiracies, and betrayals among different organizations surrounding the construction of the largest resort in Gangneung. Alongside Yoo Oh-sung and Jang Hyuk, many supporting actors deliver powerful performances.
With the transition to With-Corona starting November 1, revitalizing the cinema industry, expectations for "Gangneung" are rising as it is anticipated to achieve double success alongside Marvel Studios' new release "Eternals."
