[Special Stock] Barunson, NFT Market NPlanet... Movie 'Gisaengchung' Writer GBG Sold Out

[Asia Economy Reporter Hyungsoo Park] Barunson is showing strong performance.

At 10:02 AM on the 10th, Barunson is trading at 4,945 KRW, up 21.65% from the previous day.

Barunson Labs recently launched the beta service of the non-fungible token (NFT) marketplace platform nPlanet. The beta service initially unveils the rapidly growing art market.

nPlanet is an art and cultural content marketplace where anyone can easily and conveniently trade NFT products from famous creators worldwide. It aims to be a next-generation market platform that satisfies both traditional art market enthusiasts and the emerging MZ generation investors by providing a simple and clear service. Like online shopping services, products can be easily purchased via bank transfer or credit card payment. Unnecessary steps have been removed to facilitate convenient transactions between users. The three-step product structure of artwork-certificate-NFT ensures safe and transparent transactions.

The nPlanet beta service currently operates only the art market partially. To coincide with the nPlanet launch, various physical and NFT works by eight domestic artists, including Jibiji, famous for the painting featured in the movie "Parasite," 308 Art Crew, An Seongseok, Kim Jin, Pildok, Lee Boyoon, Kim Isu, and Kwon Daehun, were showcased both online and offline.

A Barunson Labs official stated, “Through fractional sales of NFT products, it is possible to own and trade artworks without a heavy burden, and profits can be expected from the increase in the value of the owned shares.”

Going forward, nPlanet aims to expand its business scope by presenting various cultural values such as movies, music, and wine, starting with the art market unveiled this time. Additionally, it plans to expand the K-culture business in connection with ongoing projects within the Barunson Group, including film production, OTT services, entertainment business, and metaverse.

Meanwhile, at 'NFT BUSAN 2021,' co-hosted by the Busan Blockchain Industry Association and BEXCO from the 4th to the 6th, all 24 NFT-issued artworks were sold at auction. NFTs, recently gaining attention as digital virtual assets, are digital content assigned unique identification values using blockchain technology, making replication impossible and earning the nickname "originals of the digital world."

According to the Busan Blockchain Industry Association, 24 pieces were exhibited in the two-day NFT auction, achieving a 100% sale rate. Major exhibited works and their winning bids include Hunminjeongeum Haerye copy at 100 million KRW, Camel (Night) by artist Yoon Songah at 100 million KRW, Camel (Day) at 20 million KRW, Ideal and Reality by artist Jibiji at 41 million KRW, Jibiji in World at 32 million KRW, and A Midsummer Night's Dream by artist Song Moonsang at 30 million KRW. The event was attended by about 10,000 viewers, including 8,000 offline attendees and 1,500 simultaneous online viewers.
