[Asia Economy Reporter Na Ye-eun] A story has been shared about a husband who died seven hours after receiving the first dose of the Pfizer vaccine, but an autopsy report stated there was no causal relationship with the vaccine.

On the 8th, a post titled "I lost my husband a few hours after the first Pfizer vaccine dose on August 9" was uploaded on the Blue House National Petition board.

The husband of the author, Mr. A, experienced vomiting and dizziness immediately after receiving the first Pfizer vaccine dose at 3 p.m. on August 9 and visited the hospital where he was vaccinated around 9:30 p.m. While waiting for treatment, he suffered a heart attack and ultimately passed away at 10 p.m.

Mr. A said, "I performed CPR for about 1 hour and 40 minutes hoping he would wake up, but he did not, and the death certificate was issued at 11:30 p.m. The cause of death on the certificate was listed as 'unknown (after COVID-19 vaccination).'"

He added, "My husband was usually healthy, working on the farm in the countryside and serving as the village chief as well as volunteering for the fire department. Who would have thought he would suddenly lose his life so tragically on the day he got vaccinated?"

He continued, "As a citizen, we trusted and faithfully followed the government's guidance, and because of his role as village chief, he had to be vaccinated first to encourage others in the village to get vaccinated. I am speechless and can only cry," he expressed.

What made Mr. A even more devastated was the autopsy result.

Mr. A said, "I was verbally informed of the autopsy results by a police officer after about two months, and I felt despair and emptiness. The cause of death was stated as 'considering the possibility of acute cardiac death. General side effects from vaccination such as anaphylaxis, injection site infection, or resulting sepsis were excluded.' In other words, they said there was no causal relationship with the vaccine, which is nonsense," he revealed.

He added, "We could not immediately receive the autopsy report. Amid the chaos and sadness, the immediate family had to file an information disclosure request to see the contents. While reading the autopsy report, I kept recalling my husband’s body, torn and in pain, and I cried so much I cannot describe it."

He continued, "He died on the same day after the first vaccine dose, so how can they say there is no connection with the vaccination? I feel so sorry for my husband, having lost such a precious life so tragically, and it feels like all we get is just the autopsy result notification and nothing more."

Finally, Mr. A said, "Although we have completed the 49-day memorial rites, the Korea Disease Control and Prevention Agency has still not provided any notification regarding my husband’s death," and "I earnestly petition the government to truly acknowledge and clarify my husband’s unjust death."
