Damyang-gun and Hyerim Comprehensive Welfare Center Sign Agreement for Integrated Mental Health Promotion Project


[Damyang=Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Kim Chunsu] On the 4th, Jeonnam Damyang-gun announced that on the 3rd, it signed a business agreement with Hyerim Comprehensive Welfare Center to improve the mental health of local community residents.


The signing ceremony was attended by Kim Sunbok, Director of the Mental Health Welfare Center, Kim Geumyong, Director of Hyerim Welfare Center, and other related officials.


They agreed to discover high-risk groups for mental health, promote the mental health of local residents, and establish a mental health service system through an integrated approach to mental health and welfare.


The two organizations plan to operate depression screening tests, mental health education, mental wellness, and burnout prevention programs for welfare facility workers and users in the region.


A county official said, “This agreement is expected to help manage the mental health and improve the mental wellness of not only local people with mental disabilities but also the users and workers utilizing local welfare resources,” adding, “We will continue to promote linkage projects reflecting the conditions and characteristics of local welfare resources to enhance the mental health of county residents.”
