[Asia Economy Reporter Yuri Kim] Jeju Dream Tower Complex Resort is set to fully operate its '1600 all-suite rooms.'
Lotte Tour Development announced on the 2nd that the second tower of Jeju Dream Tower Complex Resort (850 rooms, Residence building) will open on the 29th. Since its opening on December 18 last year, only one building (750 rooms) has been in operation.
Lotte Tour Development stated, "Jeju Dream Tower Complex Resort, with 38 floors above ground (height 169m) and a total floor area of 303,737㎡, has completed the opening of the K-fashion specialty shopping mall 'Han Collection' and the foreigner-only casino 'Dream Tower Casino,' and with the full operation of 1600 rooms, it has fully established itself as the first urban complex resort in Korea."
Paul Kwok, General Manager of Grand Hyatt Jeju, emphasized, "Grand Hyatt Jeju is the second largest among over 1000 Hyatts worldwide and the largest hotel in the Asia-Pacific region, as well as the only all-suite concept hotel. It is the most iconic hotel not only in size but also in service."
Jeju Dream Tower Complex Resort offers rooms with panoramic views of Jeju Sea, Hallasan Mountain, Jeju Airport, and the city through 2.7m high floor-to-ceiling windows. It also features 14 restaurants staffed by world-class chefs. A resort official said, "The 'Pocha' and 'Lounge 38' located on Jeju's highest floor (38th floor) have become famous as 'view hotspots,' with lines forming every night, and they have maintained nearly full occupancy rates, setting consecutive sell-out records for staycations on home shopping channels."
They added, "With the gradual return to normal life (With Corona) atmosphere and the opening of the second tower, we plan to implement aggressive marketing strategies in preparation for more visitors." From the 15th, the 38th-floor 'Pocha' will offer premium breakfasts featuring Jeju-style Korean or Western set menus such as Jeju shrimp, green bean soybean paste soup, and crab rice.
Accordingly, the number of restaurants serving breakfast has increased to five: buffet restaurant 'Grand Kitchen,' casual restaurant 'Cafe8,' Korean restaurant 'Noknamu,' club lounge 'Grand Club,' and now 'Pocha.'
The operating hours of the Hyatt Club Lounge 'Grand Club' (about 250 seats) will also be extended. The evening cocktail service, previously available until 7:30 PM, will be extended until 11 PM, increasing usage time to five and a half hours. During the evening cocktail hours, guests can enjoy unlimited champagne, wine, cocktails, along with canap?s and snacks.
At 'China House,' led by Chinese Executive Chef Vincent Wong, who oversaw 72 Chinese restaurants at the Hong Kong Shangri-La Group, new authentic Chinese dishes have been introduced, including pyramid-stacked Jinshan Dongpo Pork and spinach tofu stew with abalone sauce.
