[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Kim Yong-woo] Park Soo-min, a former special forces soldier known as 'Sergeant Park' from the TV program Strong Steel Unit, has been handed over to the prosecution on charges of sexual crimes.
On the 1st, the Cyber Investigation Unit of the Busan Metropolitan Police Agency announced that they had sent the case of Park Soo-min, who is accused of illegally filming and distributing photos of a woman's body (violation of the Sexual Violence Punishment Act), to the prosecution.
The police had been investigating Park and, upon finding evidence of criminal charges, registered him as a suspect and conducted an investigation.
In April, a public broadcast program raised suspicions that "Park hid the fact that he was married and filmed and distributed photos of the body of a woman he was dating," and since then, criticism has spread online, describing it as a level of sexual crime.
In June, Park denied the allegations through a YouTube video, stating, "Six months after I got to know the woman, when I said I wanted to stop meeting, the threats began," denying the charges.
