Korea Exchange Opens 'KRX Metaverse Exhibition Hall' at 2021 Busan Money Show

[Asia Economy Reporter Gong Byung-sun] The Korea Exchange announced on the 28th that it has opened the 'KRX Metaverse Exhibition Hall' to participate in the 2021 Busan Money Show.

The Metaverse Exhibition Hall is an online virtual exhibition space where major lectures, exhibitions, and events of the Busan Money Show KRX exhibition hall take place, installed in the metaverse virtual space Zepeto. The design combines the exterior of the Busan headquarters building, Busan International Finance Center (BIFC), the interior of the Seoul Yeouido office, Gwangan Bridge, and the beach. Notably, the BIFC building is the tallest existing building within Zepeto.

Various programs are also planned. Son Byung-doo, Chairman of the Korea Exchange, has agreed to participate in a talk concert with university students from the Busan area. Additionally, lectures on financial technology related to gold, exchange-traded funds (ETF), and stock derivatives, conversations with KRX seniors, and docent programs at the promotional hall have been prepared. These programs can be accessed by adding the Kakao Channel 'Busan Money Show KRX Exhibition Hall' and registering in advance.

Prizes will also be awarded. Participants in financial technology lectures, games such as Jump Up and Hidden Picture Search, and docent programs can receive prizes like Starbucks coffee.

In addition to the metaverse space, an on-site booth at BEXCO will also be operated. By operating metaverse event on-site participation and broadcasting equipment, program participation identical to the metaverse exhibition hall is possible. Furthermore, personnel and facilities will be deployed to support derivative product mock trading experiences, and KRX gold market consultation services will be provided.

A Korea Exchange official stated, "The KRX Metaverse Exhibition Hall is a place that anyone can use without spatial limitations," and expressed expectations that "it will become a new communication channel that can attract the interest and participation of the younger generation."
