On the afternoon of the 27th (local time), Lotte Duty Free announced that its Myeongdong Main Store won the Duty-Free Shop of the Year award at the '2021 Frontier Awards' held in Cannes, France.
Lotte Duty Free explained, "'Frontier Awards' is the most prestigious global tourism distribution industry awards ceremony hosted annually by the UK duty-free magazine 'DFNI (Duty Free News International)', now in its 38th year. A judging panel composed of experts from various fields of the tourism distribution industry including duty-free shops, airports, travel, and tourism selected brands that shone through digital innovation and creativity amid the COVID-19 crisis. Lotte Duty Free was the only domestic duty-free company to receive this honor."
The world's largest downtown duty-free store, Lotte Duty Free Myeongdong Main Store, was recognized for ▲advancing the industry's first non-face-to-face store, the 'Smart Store' ▲operating charter flights for VIP customers on non-landing sightseeing flights ▲being the first in the industry to attract global brands such as 'Tatcha' and 'Valmont' ▲discovering and cooperating with small and medium-sized brands for mutual growth.

Meanwhile, on the 16th, Lotte Duty Free also won five awards, the most in the industry, at the '2021 The Moodies' hosted by the global duty-free magazine 'Moodie Davitt Report'.
