On the 28th, the Geumcheon Police Station in Seoul announced that they have booked a man in his 20s, identified as A, on charges of dangerous driving causing death under the Act on the Aggravated Punishment of Specific Crimes.
According to the police, A is suspected of driving an SUV and entering the sidewalk in Doksan-dong, Geumcheon-gu at around 10:40 p.m. the previous day, hitting a 19-year-old pedestrian, B. B was transported to the hospital but ultimately passed away.
At the time, A's blood alcohol concentration was found to be at the license cancellation level (0.08% or higher).
A police official stated, "We plan to apply for an arrest warrant for A."
