Hankook Tire High-Performance Winter Tire Ranks First in European Specialty Magazine Performance Test

[Asia Economy Reporter Changhwan Lee] Hankook Tire announced on the 28th that its high-performance winter tire, the Winter i*cept evo3*, ranked first in the 2021 winter tire performance test conducted by the European automotive magazine Auto Bild sportscars.

Auto Bild sportscars is a sister publication of the European automotive magazine Auto Bild, focusing on sports cars and high-performance vehicles.

This performance test was conducted on a total of 13 global tire brands, including Hankook Tire, Michelin, Bridgestone, and Goodyear. Handling was measured and scored on snowy roads, wet surfaces, and dry surfaces.

The Winter i*cept evo3* not only took first place in the test but also received the highest rating of "Very recommendable." Only two brands, Hankook Tire and Michelin, received this "Very recommendable" rating.

In particular, it scored exceptionally high in handling and braking on snowy roads compared to other tires. It also earned overwhelming scores in preventing hydroplaning on wet curved roads, demonstrating its technological excellence.

Last year, the Winter i*cept evo3* also received the highest rating of "Very recommendable" in tests conducted by Auto Bild sportscars.

The Winter i*cept evo3* features the application of the "Aqua Pine Compound," which contains natural ingredients to prevent hardening at low temperatures, thereby enhancing grip on winter low-temperature and wet road surfaces such as snowy roads.

Its tread pattern optimized for snowy roads and cuff design that improves drainage reduce the occurrence of hydroplaning, delivering optimal grip and braking performance on various road surfaces encountered during winter.
