[Asia Economy Reporter Naju-seok] Lee Soo-hee, spokesperson for former lawmaker Yoo Seung-min's campaign, a presidential candidate from the People Power Party, said on the 28th, "We expect a golden cross in approval ratings within this week." This expressed the expectation that Yoo's approval ratings could surpass others around this week.

On the same day, Lee appeared on BBS Radio's 'Park Kyung-soo's Morning Journal' and explained, "Yoo's approval ratings have skyrocketed, surpassing 20%," adding, "The difference compared to former Prosecutor General Yoon Seok-youl has narrowed to within the margin of error."

According to a public opinion poll conducted by Korea Gallup commissioned by Money Today from the 25th to 26th (telephone interviews, sampling error ±3.1 percentage points at 95% confidence level; detailed information available on the Central Election Poll Deliberation Commission website), in response to the question "Who do you think should run as the People Power Party's presidential candidate?" Yoo recorded an approval rating of 20.6%. He ranked third after People Power Party lawmaker Hong Joon-pyo (30.7%) and former Prosecutor General Yoon (25.1%). This is the first time Yoo has surpassed 20% in a public opinion poll targeting People Power Party presidential primary candidates.

Yoo mentioned the related poll results on social media (SNS), stating, "Citizens and party members, disappointed with candidates caught in daily controversies and those regressive to the times, have begun to properly evaluate and support Yoo Seung-min's value."

Lee emphasized, "Although this presidential race has a high unfavorable rating causing much concern, as debates continue, it seems people are judging that Yoo is the prepared candidate in terms of policy judgment ability and vision for the country's future," adding, "Hong's approval rating surged rapidly, and it took only 2 to 3 days to catch up with former Prosecutor General Yoon."

Regarding public sentiment in Daegu and Gyeongbuk (TK), Lee said, "I heard that the TK region has been quiet without noticeable changes but shows a late-stage concentration phenomenon," and added, "We are looking forward to such developments."
