North Korea: "The Stalemate in Inter-Korean Relations Is Due to Foreign Interference"

[Asia Economy Reporter Lee Ji-eun] North Korean propaganda media claimed on the 28th that the reason inter-Korean relations are not improving is due to foreign interference and insisted that the issue should be resolved independently.

'Uriminzokkiri' stated in an article titled 'We Must Stand on the Position of National Autonomy' that "the fact that the North-South Korea issue and the Korean Peninsula problem are not easily resolved and continue to become more complicated is an undeniable fact recognized worldwide, caused by foreign interference and disruptive acts."

The media criticized the South Korean government for coordinating its North Korea policy with the United States, Japan, and Europe to resolve the North Korean nuclear issue, calling it a "begging behavior," and said, "If you truly love the nation and value the aspirations and demands of the people, you must stand on the position of autonomy and address and resolve national issues accordingly."

The media condemned, "Following foreign powers, loudly advocating international cooperation, and rushing to seek external support and cooperation is an act that goes against the people's aspiration to resolve national issues independently in accordance with the nation's interests."
