[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Park Jin-hyung] The Gwangju-Jeonnam Regional Headquarters of the Korea Federation of SMEs (Gwangju-Jeonnam Chairman Lim Kyung-jun) held a meeting on the 27th in the regional headquarters meeting room to support win-win development and mutual growth through communication with Korea Electric Power Corporation and local small and medium-sized enterprises.
Attendees at the meeting included the head of KEPCO's Win-Win Development Department, the director of the Mutual Growth Office, the administrative team leader of Korea Energy University, as well as 20 representatives from KEPCO-supplying Gwangju-Jeonnam SME cooperatives and small and medium-sized enterprises.
The main topics discussed were ▲expanding sales channels of local SMEs to Korea Electric Power Corporation ▲increasing the target ratio for priority purchasing of local goods ▲actively utilizing KEPCO's public procurement system recommended by SME cooperatives ▲advertisement cooperative recommended purchasing ▲relaxing delivery requirements when purchasing furniture ▲using MAS and extending delivery deadlines when purchasing concrete manhole blocks.
Lee Chang-ho, head of the regional headquarters, said, “We hope KEPCO will show great interest and actively cooperate in supporting win-win development and mutual growth with local SMEs during the establishment and operation process of Korea Energy University (KEPCO University) to expand sales channels and revitalize the local economy, which have been greatly affected by COVID-19.”
