From November 3... Online applications start from the 27th
[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Choi Soon-kyung] Sancheong-gun, Gyeongnam announced on the 27th that it will operate a dedicated government small business loss compensation guidance desk from November 3rd to the end of December.
The loss compensation target is small businesses under the 'Framework Act on Small and Medium Enterprises' that suffered significant business losses due to assembly bans or operating hour restrictions from July 7 to September 30 this year.
Closed businesses that had not received disaster support funds for small business owners will also be compensated for losses incurred up to just before the closure date.
For online applications, loss compensation applications can be submitted through the loss compensation website starting from the 27th.
If online application is difficult, applicants can visit the county office's dedicated loss compensation guidance desk from November 3rd to apply.
Applications can be made by simply entering the business registration number into the online system without any additional supporting documents.
Based on the names of facilities subject to local government quarantine measures and National Tax Service tax data, the compensation amount is calculated and 'quick compensation' can be received within two days of application. However, if the applicant disagrees with the amount calculated in the 'quick compensation,' they can submit supporting documents to request 'confirmed compensation' and file an 'objection.'
Loss compensation is calculated by applying the quarantine measure period and correction rate (80%) to the average daily loss in the same month of 2021 compared to 2019, which was unaffected by COVID-19. According to the Ministry of SMEs and Startups, payments will range from 100,000 KRW to a maximum of 100 million KRW per business per quarter.
Lee Jae-geun, Sancheong-gun mayor, stated, “We will do our best to focus administrative efforts so that small business owners who suffered business damage due to quarantine measures to prevent the spread of COVID-19 can receive support quickly.”
