Imsil-gun Operates 'Heuarim Classroom' Dementia Family Support Program

[Imsil=Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters, Reporter Park Nosik] The Dementia Safety Center in Imsil-gun, Jeonbuk, is operating the dementia family support project "Heairim Classroom" for families and caregivers of dementia patients.

According to the county on the 27th, Heairim Classroom is a program aimed at promoting emotional exchange and reducing stress and psychological burden through various programs in which dementia patients and caregivers can participate together.

The Heairim Classroom is scheduled to operate once a week for a total of four weeks, and this program is open not only to families of dementia patients but also to local residents who directly care for dementia patients.

Before the program starts, preliminary evaluations such as depression assessment and caregiving burden assessment are conducted to understand the condition of the participants, and after the program ends, post-evaluations are conducted to identify changes in their condition.

The Dementia Safety Center strives to improve the understanding and capabilities of families and caregivers of dementia patients by providing necessary dementia management methods through various curricula, reducing caregiving stress, and enhancing the quality of life for dementia patients and their families.
