Composer Kim Hyung-seok as General Director... Pentagon, Dance Crew Hook, Painters, and more to perform

A large-scale concert to comfort Hallyu fans exhausted by the prolonged COVID-19 pandemic will be held. It is the 'Korean Culture Festival - 2021 World K-pop Concert' hosted by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism and the Korea Foundation for International Cultural Exchange, taking place at KINTEX in Goyang City on the 14th of next month.

The performance, live-streamed through the 'Korean Culture Festival' YouTube channel, is directed by composer Kim Hyung-seok. The MCs are Jeno of NCT Dream and Lia of ITZY. The stage features NCT Dream, Key (SHINee), aespa, ITZY, Pentagon, dance crew HOOK, Painters, Saengdonggam Crew, Project Wiro, K-Tigers, and others. Each performs their representative songs to bring joy to Hallyu fans. The finale is decorated with the festival theme song created by Director Kim together with the fans. A Ministry of Culture official stated, "All performers will sing with hopes of aspiration."

As a side event, the Ministry of Culture will also hold the 'Korean Culture Fan Expo.' Over two days, on the 13th and 14th of next month, it will provide various opportunities to experience Korean culture such as Korean cuisine, beauty, and fashion. Recently spotlighted K-pop artists like BAE173, Cypher, Purple Kiss, and woo! will also participate. A Ministry of Culture official said, "Based on the results of this event and expert opinions, we plan to develop the Korean Culture Festival into a large-scale music festival comparable to those worldwide."
